Your Playground Design-Guide in 5 steps

Designing a new playground is fun, fun, fun! But for some, it may seem to be an overwhelming experience. Have you envisioned your play area? Analyzed your site? Thought about equipment layout? What about the actual installation? And maintenance?

If the answer is no, you are at the right place. With our expertise and network of certified installers, we will make sure this whole process will be nothing but a great experience for you.

To make it simpler for you to understand how the process of playground design works, we have composed a playground design-guide that will give you a brief outline.

1. VISUALIZE

The first thing to do is to envision your play area. What exactly are you looking for? How many children will use the playground? What are their ages? Are there users with special needs that need to be considered? What type of protective surfacing do you want? We can streamline and focus your efforts by offering design consultation free of charge.

2. ANALYZE

What is the size of your play area? How does the surrounding path of access and site conditions impact ADA access to your site? You also need to think about conditions such as slope, soil, vegetation and proximity to street. We will assist with a visit to the site to discuss playground safety guidelines and liability issues.

3. DESIGN

Oh, this is the fun part! Are you looking for a nature based playground with animal sculptures? Or perhaps something beach inspired? A train? A farm? A fire station? What about integrated shade? Benched and additional site furnishing? What colors do you want? Rubber surfacing with graphics? There are no boundaries to what we can design. We will guide throughout the entire process to make sure your playground will stand out if it is a standard product or a “one off” custom design.
